Access & transport

  • Do you have parking ?

    Of course we do, only for a small fee of CHF 15.- per day. You need to reserve one as we only have 7 parking lots just behind our building.

  • How far is the Starling Residence from the nearest tramway stop ?

    Well, you can’t be closer! It’s just in front of the Residence. The Tram 15 will take you to the train station (Cornavin) in 11 mn (6 stops only) and you will be right in the city center.

  • How far is the Starling Residence from the airport ?

    Going from Cointrin Airport to our residence is a hassle free trip and guess what, it’s all free  – Before going through the exit sliding doors after picking up your luggage, there is a vending machine where you can get a complimentary transport card valid for 80mn. Then once in the arrival terminal, you will go on your left to the airport train station. – Take the train from the airport to Cornavin central train station (7mn trip). – From there take the tramway N°15 direction of Palette to Acacias tram stop (10mn). Hotel restoration

  • Do you offer a breakfast service ?

    We offer you a breakfast service delivered at your studio's doorstep for CHF 15.00 per person. Order your breakfast the previous day before 5pm for delivery to your door the next day between 6am and 7am. You can choose between 2 formulas: "Continental" or "Salted".

Rooms at starling

  • Do you offer twin-bedded studios?

    Most of our Grand Studios have a double bed and a sofabed that can accommodate 2 persons each. While choosing this studio category, don’t forget to mention that you need a sofabed in your booking. Depending on the number of guests staying in our Grand studio, a small fee may apply though.

  • Are there non-smoking studios?

    Yep! 100% of our studios and apartments are non-smoking areas as well as the whole building.

  • Do you have hair dryers?

    We sure do! You will find one in every room. If yours is missing for some reason, just get in touch with our Reception Team.

  • How about ironing boards?

    Ask our lovely Reception Team and they will bring it up for you. Now, if you stay in a Grand Studio, the ironing board will be in your closet.

  • Is there a safe in my room?

    All of our rooms and studios have safety boxes.

  • Do you clean the rooms each day?

    In order to reduce our environmental footprint, the complete cleaning of your studio is organized according to your number of nights spent at the residence. Lighter cleaning services are performed regularly. On request and at an extra cost, the complete cleaning can be done every day during your stay.

  • You have a luggage room?

    We do indeed. Drop your bags off and explore the city.

  • Is there a desk and chair in my room?

    Yes we do so take a seat, grab a cup of free tea/coffee and use our free WiFi to brag about your stay at Starling Hotel Residence.

  • I’m travelling with children, do you have foldout beds?

    All kids are welcome at the Starling Residence, so bring them along. We do have Sofa beds available in our Grand studios, so do not forget to mention them in your bookings.

  • Do you have baby cots?

    Yes we do, and there is no extra cost. You’re already spending enough money on diapers, right? We know how difficult it is to shower babies, so we will put a lovely baby bath for your lovely one.

  • Can 3 adults fit in a room?

    Our Grand studios are spacious enough to welcome 3 adults as there is a large sofa bed. Please make sure you contact our Reservations Team as triple occupancy cannot be booked online. Reservation

  • What do I do if I didn’t receive a confirmation for my reservation?

    Just drop us an email on contact@shresidence.ch or reservation@shresidence.ch and we’ll get back to you quickly.

  • What is your cancellation/refund policy?

    Prepaid Bookings: This is our best rate available, however, please keep the following conditions in mind. The rate is fully prepaid at the time of booking, non-amendable and non-refundable in case of cancellation, early departure or no show. Best Flexible Bookings: If you are unsure about your travel plans, this is the best option we’ve got for you. The rate enables you to amend, or cancel your booking free of charge up to 3pm two days prior to arrival.

  • Do I need to leave a deposit when booking a room?

    Prepaid Booking: The full payment for your booking will be taken at the time the reservation is made. Best Flexible Rate: We will not take any deposit from your card at the time the reservation is made. The full payment will be processed at 3pm two days prior to your arrival

  • Do you have special rates for travel agents?

    If we lowered our prices anymore we’d basically be giving our rooms away for free. So no special rates for travel agents, though we love travel agents all the same.

  • Can I check-in early?

    This is subject to availability. But if your room is available we have no problems going out of our way to get it ready earlier for no additional fee of course.

  • Can I check-out later ?

    Like early check-in, late check-outs are subject to availability. After Noon there may be a small fee though.
